Kate Jones is half of Gillies Jones and is the blogger.

Kate is an artist whose interests lie in the observations of details, marks, pattern and forms of the natural world. Her work has moved from paint to print making though to glass, always making the unseen and overlooked, monumental, obvious and engaging . Looking anew at the familiar.

“In nature I am reflected” as Mario Gaciomelli once said and, I have not as yet found a better way to express this.. especially as the material I use is glass.

The blog is my way of sharing the many images I take of this amazingly beautiful world, my observations of the small and sometimes overwhelmingly large and the experiences I enjoy as part of everyday life in running our small studio together in the middle of the stunning North York Moors.
