Yes, it was a fine time in a fantastic setting. This conference focussed on ‘glass in context’ – quite a lot of architectural work, but not exclusively, and not all flat – but they have different themes for each conference – every two years.
If you want to read about the glass artists you missed, there’s going to be a bumper Newsletter in December all about it.
Roll on 2011!

Yes.

It was good, despite the sudden death of
Dan Klein, who was instrumental in establishing Northlands and who organised the theme and speakers for this years conference.
The celebration of his life on the Saturday was a fitting tribute to his steadying hand, influence and support for all who work creatively with glass.
Northlands is quite a legacy to leave.

Glass art baffles me, it seems like it’s impossible to do. Although, it’s so cool to look at, that I’m glad their are talented artists in the world who can make it.
