Isle of Wight Sunset

Posted in Travels by Kate Jones on August 27, 2010

Visited the Isle recently to see some wonderful people and enjoy the place ! Fossil hunting came top of the list for the kids and at an exceptionally low tide the light was amazing over the land and sea.

End of the day

Stayed on the Milburn field till dusk, watching the show jumping and sipping something deliciously fizzy. Beautiful light between Rosedale’s two iconic hills and a rainbow in the opposite direction made a perfect end to a beautiful day.

Only sadness was to see the Milburn Arms the village’s beloved Hotel , Restaurant and Pub still closed and not have the opportunity to finish the day off enjoying its hospitality as has been customary for the many, many years !

The JOZE SHOW 2010

The Joze Show

Looking forward to showing work at this event in September .

The Joze Show at Accolds Farm, in West Sussex has already established itself as a significant event in the artistic calendar.

We are invited to wander around the beautiful gardens, house and orchards invariably with a glass of sparkling in one hand, and, with a view to looking at the paintings, sculptures, photographs, ceramics and glass on the other. All the work is sourced internationally or from an exceptional array of talent in this country. All the work has been cunningly arranged by Jose Waldie, ably assisted by Hayley Reddall.

Whether by chance or design, this is without doubt, the new, relaxed way to view or buy art in this environment.

A new addition is the Art History Lectures to be given by Michael Getgood who is a distinguished Art Historian. His first course will be an introduction to the nineteenth century, covering Turner and Constable, the PRB, Impressionism and Post Impressionism commencing October. Please telephone 01403 820238 for further information and to secure a place.
